Anterior head carriage or “text-neck” describes a modern upper cross syndrome where the upper back is rounded with the head bent forward and looking down. This condition is most commonly seen during improper cell-phone or computer use. The forward position of the head shifts its gravity away from center line/ the spine which increases its loading and stress. It is a common condition causing neck and upper back pain. Patients have also reported onset of headaches and dizziness in more severe cases. Onset of symptoms are usually gradual and is frequently ignored resulting in a delay for treatment.
